Pure Green Space

One of our most treasured projects is now just about complete.

Ferndene House is a grade B listed building designed in at least three phases- one phase notably by Alexander Greek Thompson.

A former MOD building, Ferndene needed extensive re-fitting to make it make into a family home, so it was the ideal opportunity to start from scratch.

With all externall walls roof and floors insulated, two huge heat pumps now run from 300 meters of ground loop heating coils.

Heat is propogated through the house via underfloor heating which has been installed at both ground and first floor levels.

Other items included double glazing in all the main spaces, and a complete overhaul of the roof with traditional Scottish slate.

Ferndene House before work commenced

We have submitted plans for a new house at Rockmount, Portincaple.

The house is in a fabulous location on the cliffs above Loch Long, and will make the most of the breathtaking views.

Highly insulated, and maximising solar gains on the site, the house sits up in stilts to elevate the views and also prevent dampness.

We are delighted to have our new website up and running.

Puregreenspace has just put in an exciting new Eco-house for planning permission at Stafford Street West in Helensburgh.

The house integrates with the Victorian walled garden creating an internal courtyard and a south facing suntrap.

The house will harness solar gains and uses a traditional masonry internal leaf structure to maximise thermal mass.

Being fully insulated externally it will be intrinsically a passive house.
